Cancer treatments, including surgery, radiation, chemotherapy and hormonal treatment, bring special challenges. Our team can help you prepare for treatment and cope with side effects. Specific coping strategies may decrease anxiety about treatment or the impact of side-effects following treatment.

Breast Cancer Surgery Teaching Class
The Breast Cancer Surgery Teaching Class provides patients who are undergoing breast surgery with information and support necessary to optimize recovery. This class addresses the pre- and post-operative preparation including care of the drain, pain management, functional rehabilitation, nutritional issues, emotional recovery, relaxation training, body image, sexual health and community resources. The class is provided by Nursing, Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy, Social Work and Dietitian Services.
