We offer an outpatient program that provides help to adolescents and adults in the Portuguese speaking community who are experiencing problems with their mental health such as anxiety or depression; or challenges in dealing with alcohol misuse or addiction to drugs such as cocaine, narcotics or methamphetamine and methamphetamine-like drugs. We treat our patients with care and compassion in an environment that is knowledgeable about and sensitive to the cultural aspects of the Portuguese speaking communities.
A multidisciplinary team including social workers and psychiatrists works together to give the client the care that he/she needs.
We have three main services:
| • | general assessment, treatment and consultation to get a handle on the problem |
| • | addiction/concurrent disorder service dealing with drug and alcohol problems that sometimes go with mental illness |
| • | intensive case management service for chronic mental illness. |
AND in addition we offer psychotherapy, group programs and community education and agency training seminars.
ELIGIBILITY is limited to people who are fluently Portuguese speaking with a mental health and/or addiction problem or concern. Priority is given to those who are Portuguese language dependent. Court ordered referrals for addiction treatment are accepted.
