Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM) Clinic
The Toronto Brain Vascular Malformation program is run by a collaborative, multidisciplinary team dedicated to the care and study of conditions affecting, or arising from, the blood vessels of the brain. Our clinical group is composed of Neurosurgeons, Interventional Neuroradiologists, Radiation Oncologists and Acute Care Nurse Practitioners. Several members of the group see patients on each visit and all members of the group discuss their cases.
Goals

- To carry out basic research that will translate into future treatments
Services
- Weekly ambulatory vascular malformation consultations with new patients
- Monthly multidisciplinary conferences in order to arrive at treatment recommendations based on the group's collective opinions
- Investigations, diagnosis, treatment strategies for patients diagnosed with vascular malformation
- Follow up care, including imaging and other investigations
- Referral to vascular malformation support group and mentorship program, if requested

- Can be made by a family physician
- Contact through the support group web chat line
- Through the hospital in an emergency admission
- To individual group members, who then see patients in the clinic
