Learn more about Toronto General Hospital
TGH is one of the city’s oldest hospitals, dating back to the War of 1812 where it began as a small shed used for a military hospital. The hospital has numerous medical and surgical program specialities including heart and kidney disease, transplantation, an eating disorders clinic, women's health, nephrology, a HIV clinic and psychiatry as well as a busy Emergency Department that treats more than 26,000 patients each year. The video clips below highlight some of these areas.
